Police are searching for a man after another man was stabbed at a home in the Port Credit area of Mississauga around the dinner hour on Sunday.
Peel Regional Police told INsauga.com the suspect being hunted in connection with the violent incident is “known to police.”
Officers were called to a home in the area of Pine Avenue North and Lakeshore Road West shortly after 5 p.m. for reports of a stabbing inside the residence, police said.
“On arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from cuts sustained by an edged weapon during an altercation with a known person,” a Peel police spokesperson said in an email to INsauga.com.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and treated for superficial wounds and later released, police added.
Police said their search for the suspect is ongoing and no other details are being released.
