Tetris 99 announces 54th Maximus Cup with Yoshi and the Mysterious Book theme

Nintendo just announced the 54th Maximus Cup for Tetris 99, which will bring along a new theme based on Yoshi and the Mysterious Book.

As usual, players will be tasked with reaching 100 event points. When that happens, they’ll unlock the Yoshi and the Mysterious Book theme in Tetris 99. This comes with special art, music, and Tetrimino designs.

You’ll need to be a Nintendo Switch Online member in order to participate. Event points are given out based on placements in matches.

The Tetris 99 54th Maximus Cup will begin on May 29 at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET. It’ll last until June 1 at 11:59 PM PT / June 2 at 2:59 AM ET.
