Kenny Lawler and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats have made Canadian Football League history.
The talented wide receiver has now earned the biggest WR contract the CFL has ever seen.
According to TSN’s Dave Naylor, the Tiger-Cats have reached a three-year deal worth $1 million with Lawler.
Lawler is coming off a massive season, finishing with 86 catches for 1,443 yards and 14 touchdowns, with an impressive 16.8 yards per catch.

Lawler is 31 years old now, a decade since he played his college football at the NCAA level for California.
He was a seventh-round pick out of college in the NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, but he never appeared in an NFL regular season game.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Lawler has been in the CFL since 2019. He spent four seasons with Winnipeg, with a season with Edmonton interspersed, before joining Hamilton for 2025.
He had previously put up 1,014 yards as his career-best with Winnipeg in 2021, but he flew past that in 2025 for the Tiger-Cats.
Now, he’ll have the weight of some additional expectation on his shoulders, but Hamilton clearly feels that Lawler is worth it.
