Mississauga is getting its very own version of the popular Taco Fest this summer, and the lineup for vendors for their first ever festival has now been released.
The lineup includes some major taco stars, some of which people may even recognize from other festivals or restaurants in Toronto.
Over 20 vendors will be part of the festival that celebrates all things tacos, and they’ll be serving up over 100 taco varieties over the course of just two days.
The lineup of vendors will include some of the most well-respected restaurants in Toronto that have caused Taco Fest to sell out in previous years, including the winner of Best Taco at Taco Fest Toronto in 2023.
Other exciting Toronto restaurants will also be present at the Mississauga festival, including Inmigrante and Rancho Relaxo. Mississauga favourites Rick’s Good Eats will also be serving up taco creations at the festival, a restaurant known for its Indian fusion dishes.
Here are vendors that will be present at the festival of tacos in Mississauga next month:
Balam
Big Jerk
Blissful Bites
Churros by Rebozos
Delight Bite Inc.
Inmigrante
Kong’s Hot Tacos (2023 Taco Fest Toronto Best Taco Winner)
La Barbacha Mexican
Lit Up Jerk
Pa’l Antojo
Palettamerica
Picante MX
Rancho Relaxo
Rebozos Taquería
Rick’s Good Eats
Stick Shift Robata
Taco Loco
And don’t worry, you’ll get a chance to vote for Mississauga’s best taco at this special edition of the Taco Fest as well.
Other fun activities that will complete the two days of taco madness include a guacamole school where you can learn how to make your own guac, a hot sauce tasting bar with over 50 varieties from around the world, tequila and mezcal tastings with over 30 varieties, live mariachi, salsa dancing, and product sampling.
Even a month out from the festival there are already only a limited number of tickets remaining for the Mississauga edition of Taco Fest, so if you want to check it out make sure to act fast.
Taco Fest will also still be happening this summer in Toronto from Aug. 7 to 9 and in Montreal from Sept. 5 to 7, so if you’re not heading to the Mississauga festival there are a couple other taco eating opportunities coming your way. Consider the Mississauga version of Taco Fest the unofficial kickoff to your hot taco summer.
Taco Fest in Mississauga is taking place on June 27 and 28 at Port Credit Memorial Park located at 40 Lakeshore Rd. E.
