Quinte Leatherbacks Boccia Club athletes delivered an outstanding performance at the Cruisers Regional Boccia Competition held May 23 in Brampton.

Spectators enjoyed many exciting matches featuring Quinte Leatherbacks athletes Aurora Whalen, Gus Sacrey, Andrea Richards, Karen Symons, Gregory Symons, Brett Lyons, Josie McKeown, and Jaxson Girard.

Whalen won the silver medal in the Junior Division, while Jaxson Girard win bronze in the Senior BC4/5 Division.
In the Senior Open Division, Andrea Richards won gold, while Gus Sacrey earned silver.
Congratulations to all of our athletes for their hard work, determination, and positive attitude. Thank you for representing the Quinte Leatherbacks so well.
Meanwhile, on May 2, athletes from across Ontario gathered at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre for an exciting Boccia competition. The local Quinte Leatherbacks delivered outstanding performances, bringing home several medals and honours.
In the Junior Division, Whalen won gold, while Xander Snell took the bronze. in the Senior Open Division, Richarsd won gold, with Ashley Ducharme taking the bronze.

In the BC2, 3 and 5 Senior Division, Girard won silver, while the Senior Spirit of the Game Award went to Jessica Weber.
Hosting the Quinte Leatherbacks Boccia Qualifier was made possible through support from the City of Belleville Community Impact Grant, the Ontario Cerebral Palsy Sports Association Hosting Grant, and sponsorships from Prime Windows and Doors, McDougall Insurance & Financial, Best Buy Belleville and The Home Depot, Belleville.
The club also extends its appreciation to City of Belleville Councillors Sean Kelly and Barb Enright-Miller for attending the event and assisting with medal presentations.
