Wednesday’s forecast calls for wind gusts up to 40 km/h and temperatures above 25 C in the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.
Environment Canada says the morning will bring sunny conditions to Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Oshawa and the Niagara Falls area.
A north wind blowing at around 20 km/h could gust up to 40 km/h in the GTA, with a daytime high of 27 C in Mississauga. The UV index will be 8 or “very high.”
The seasonal maximum for this time of year is around 21 C in Mississauga, the weather agency says.
Wednesday night is expected to be clear with partly cloudy conditions after midnight. There’s a chance of more 40 km/h wind gusts in the GTA, and a low of around 13 C in Mississauga.
Looking ahead to Thursday, Environment Canada is calling for sunny skies and a high of 23 C in Mississauga. Friday could bring a heat event to parts northwestern portions of the province.
