Winnipeg police say emergency crews responded to reports of fire on the 300 block of Blake Street on May 24 at around 2:40 p.m.
The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) entered the residence and located a 44-year-old woman deceased inside.
Two other people were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police say those injured include a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s, both hurt as a result of the fire.
