A popular desserts shop in Mississauga has been forcibly closed after a failed health inspection.

Premium Sweets, located at 7025 Tomken Rd, was inspected and closed on Tuesday, May 26.

The inspection report alleges that the store’s staff did not wash hands to prevent contamination of food and/or food contact surfaces, among other health violations.

The location in question also serves as the brand’s head office and showroom, according to Premium Sweets’ website.

The store was closed and may reopen after passing a follow-up inspection.

This is the only red card on the store’s inspection record.
