A new stat released by the league for the first time is proof of just how impactful the Washington Mystics‘ second-year star is on every game she plays in.

This is how the WNBA’s official website describes the measurement: “Gravity quantifies how much a player pulls defenders towards them above expected, essentially measuring how much attention they draw compared to what the spacing on the floor predicts.”

In the modern NBA, it’s classically the Steph Curry stat. Everywhere Curry goes, defenders shift in his direction, often leaving his teammates wide open because they overcommit to a cut that Curry makes.
Citron has much the same impact on the floor, and that’s incredibly impressive.

Of course, part of this depends on how much an opponent needs to respect a given player’s teammates, but you don’t lead the WNBA in this by accident.
