Wrexham have secured a ninth signing of the summer after announcing the arrival of Welsh forward Nathan Broadhead from Ipswich Town.
Wrexham have spent handsomely this summer, breaking the club’s transfer record on more than one occasion.
Liberato Cacace joined Wrexham in a club-record move earlier in the summer, before Lewis O’Brien’s switch from Nottingham Forest eclipsed that deal, at least in terms of fixed money.
Wrexham have now shattered that record again, with Nathan Broadhead completing his move from Ipswich Town.
Reports earlier on Thursday suggested that Wrexham had agreed to sign Broadhead in a deal worth up to £10million.
Broadhead has been a key Wrexham target for weeks now, and Phil Parkinson has landed his man in a stunning record-breaking move.

Broadhead missed Ipswich’s defeat at Bromley in midweek, with boss Kieran McKenna claiming illness as the reason for his absence.
Tongues were wagging, though, with Wrexham fans hoping that Broadhead had been let out to avoid being cup-tied ahead of a move to the STōK Cae Ras.
Sure enough, Wrexham now have Broadhead on board as the ninth signing of a busy summer for Parkinson.
Broadhead previously spent time in the Wrexham youth ranks, but joined Everton at a very young age.
Now heading back to Wrexham, Broadhead has shared his excitement after completing his return to the club.
Broadhead issued a rallying cry, calling on everybody in North Wales to get behind Wrexham and show belief in Parkinson’s project this season.
“It’s been a long time coming and I’m delighted to join the Club,” said Broadhead on Wrexham’s official website.
“Belief is going to be the biggest thing for us this season. We want to get everyone from North Wales down to the STōK Cae Ras and to show that belief in us,” he added.
Drafted. Signed. Boldly brewed. Welcome to Wrexham, Nathan Broadhead.

Phil Parkinson on Nathan Broadhead deal
Broadhead has signed a four-year contract at Wrexham and could go straight into the squad to face West Bromwich Albion this weekend.
The 27-year-old is a proven Championship force, having hit 13 goals in Ipswich’s promotion-winning season in 2023-24.
Parkinson would love a similar impact this season and has welcomed Broadhead to Wrexham.
Parkinson claims that Broadhead showed a ‘real desire’ to play for Wrexham, and he can’t wait to work with the Welsh international moving forward.
“I’m delighted to welcome Nathan to the Club, he’s a local boy who had a real desire to come and play for his hometown Club,” said Parkinson.
“We’re all looking forward to working with him in the coming seasons,” he added.
This is an emotional move for Broadhead and an exciting one for Wrexham fans, with Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds continuing to back Parkinson with major additions to his squad.
