Your Brampton Library card can get you a lot more than just books, from games and sports equipment to free passes to the Royal Ontario Museum and provincial parks.

Along with literary classics, Brampton Library branches also have a “Library of Things” for cardholders to borrow, which include bird watching and telescope kits, seasonal activity kits, GoPro video cameras, and much more.

But not all cardholders may know that their Brampton Library pass can also get free access to the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto, and the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) in Brampton.

And for a limited time, cardholders can also get passes to The Great War Flying Museum in Cheltenham.

“Borrowing any of these passes is as easy as going up to a staff member on your next visit to the Library and asking about available passes. Then enjoy a free visit, courtesy of your favourite Brampton Library branch,” the library said in a post on social media promoting the free passes.

ROM Passes are available at all Brampton Library branches on a first-come, first-served basis, and are good for four guests during regular public hours not including blackout dates. Children ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Reservation for passes to PAMA can be made through the library’s online catalogue.

You can also reserve an Ontario Parks pass with your Brampton Library card, giving you a one day-use permit for one vehicle and its passengers to any provincial park in the province. Ontario Park sites less than 90 minutes drive from Brampton include Bronte Creek, Darlington, Earl Rowe, Forks of the Credit, Sibbald Point, Springwater and Wasaga Beach.
