Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services says no injuries were reported following an afternoon fire at an industrial building along Mission Street near Dawson Road on Thursday afternoon.
Around 3:30 p.m., WFPS responded to a report of an explosion and fire.
When crews arrived, they found smoke and fire coming from a storage building on the property and began to battle the blaze before declaring it under control at 3:50 p.m.
The WFPS HazMat team also responded as industrial chemicals were stored at the location; however, it has been confirmed that large quantities of chemicals were not involved in the fire.
WFPS notes that all employees self-evacuated prior to firefighters arriving at the scene.
