Harold Simmons Park, in the City of Dallas, is going to host one of the biggest, free soccer celebrations in North Texas ahead of the FIFA World Cup this summer.
The two-day Dallas Soccer Kick-Off Fest is Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31 at the Ron Kirk Bridge and Felix Lozada Gateway.
Presented by Harold Simmons Park and community partners, the festival brings together sports, culture, live music, food, art, and neighborhood pride.
People attending can expect to see 3v3 soccer challenge games, live DJs and dance crew performances, food trucks, art vendors, muralists and cultural performances.
While admission is free, there will be food, merchandise and more for purchase. Organizers say they are also giving away tickets to a World Cup match at the event.
