Help make cystic fibrosis history at Pitt Meadows walk

A walk to raise money for cystic fibrosis research and care will be taking place in Pitt Meadows.
Called Walk To Make Cystic Fibrosis History, the event will be taking place on Sunday, May 31.
This is Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s largest fundraising event and takes place right across the country.
According to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, cystic fibrosis is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults, and there is no cure.
As of Friday morning, May 29, 79 donors had raised $7,545 locally for the cause.
Those interested in participating can do so as an individual or as a team.
Online registration for the walk closes at 5 p.m. today, Friday, May 29.
However, registration is available on walk day at each location by completing an electronic waiver form that will be available on site.
The Pitt Meadows walk takes place at 10:30 a.m. at the Pitt River Regional Greenway, at the south end of Harris Road at Fraser Way, on Sunday, May 31.
Registration on location takes place at 10 a.m.
There is also on-site parking.
