As a significant storm rolls into southern Alberta, memories of the 2013 flood may come to mind for many living in Calgary. Since then, hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent on mitigating future flood damage. But as CBC’s Jo Horwood reports, some experts are calling for a national change to help better prepare cities across Canada for the growing risk of both floods and drought.
