It was still a successful “Britain’s Got Talent” season 19 run for Matty Juniosa, who finished fourth at the British talent competition.
Juniosa was announced as the fourth placer of “Britain’s Got Talent’s” finale on Saturday, May 30 (early morning of May 31 in the Philippines), while the choir group The Hawkstone Farmers Choir was named as the winners.
Drone precision group Celestial and dog act Anastasia Beaumont and Salsa were named second and third place, respectively.

For the singer’s final performance, his rendition of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” received a standing ovation from judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI, and the audience.
“That was absolutely brilliant, Matty. I think we’ve fallen in love the moment we first met you, with your personality, talent, and you’re not afraid to take on these big songs. For someone like you, at the back of your head, I’ve got to hit the big note. Every time, you hit the big note, and above,” Cowell said.
While Juniosa advanced to the semi-final and final rounds through the Golden Buzzer, the winner of “Britain’s Got Talent” is solely determined through public vote.
Despite his loss, Juniosa is gearing up for the next stages of his career, including playing the role of Annas in the West End revival of “Jesus Christ Superstar” in June. In the musical, Annas often requires a countertenor theater actor who joins Caiaphas in seeing Jesus as a threat. /edv
