A Woodstock man awaiting trial for dangerous driving causing death in a 2024 fatal collision in Brampton has been charged with stunt driving in Mississauga.
Peel Police observed the accused driving a vehicle at a “high rate of speed” near Winston Churchill Boulevard and Argentia Road at 1 a.m. on May 23. A traffic stop was conducted and 20-year-old Mitchel Hunter with stunt driving, speeding (102 km/h in a 60 km/h zone), failing to surrender driver’s licence and drive vehicle contrary to emissions regulations.
Hunter received an immediate 30-day driver’s licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle impoundment.
Hunter was arrested in late 2024 following a fatal collision on Nov. 24, 2024, near Steeles Avenue and Finch Avenue in Brampton. He was charged with dangerous driving causing death and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
He is still awaiting trial for that matter.
