A newborn baby was found dead in a Brampton home on Sunday.
The infant was found in the Kennedy Road North and Williams Parkway area around 8:20 a.m., Peel Regional Police said on X.
A 23-year-old woman is in custody, police said.
The woman is charged with concealing the body of a child after birth, police told reporters.
She has received medical attention in custody and is being held pending a bail hearing.
Acting Inspector Matthew Miller called the incident “deeply disturbing.”
