A former B&M store is being transformed into a new 24-hour complete with a reformer Pilates studio, just weeks after its closure. The giant food, toy and homeware emporium in Kennedy Way, Immingham, closed its doors to customers in April this year, after almost 12 years of trade.
Now, however, the shop is being transformed into a new state-of-the-art gym to be operated by growing group Snap Fitness. The firm plans to open the site this August. The transformation of the building means Snap Fitness Immingham will be able to offer a wealth of facilities for the local area.
Members will benefit from 24/7 access to exercise around their lifestyle, top of the range equipment, group exercise classes, free parking and the ability to use all of Snap Fitness’ global locations. Features include two group exercise studios, including a dedicated Reformer Pilates studio, Hammer Strength and Life Fitness equipment, an infrared sauna for recovery and wellbeing, and a dedicated recovery zone with high-end equipment and tools.
Gym bosses say the Reformer Pilates studio is set to be a huge hit among gym goers, with the workout format seeing growing popularity among athletes and celebrities. The Reformer beds will also come with built-in touchscreens, unlocking video workouts which can be accessed 24/7.

Snap Fitness was founded in 2003 and now has over 1,000 locations across more than 17 countries, which focus on community-first health clubs with strength, cardio, and high-tech equipment. The group currently has 111 franchised gyms open across the UK & Ireland. It aims to provide the most inclusive fitness experience available, with its open plan layouts and friendly staff ensuring everyone feels welcome and comfortable in their surroundings.
New jobs are also set to be created at Snap Fitness Immingham, which will be owned and run by franchisee Phil Costley.
He said: “We’re really looking forward to bringing Snap Fitness to Immingham.
“We understand that setting foot into a gym can be overwhelming for some people but that won’t be the case here. Our goal is for Snap Fitness to be the most inclusive gym in the area and that people feel completely at ease when they walk through our door.
“We know how much community and belonging means to people. You can expect a gym that truly puts its members first and gives back to the local area.”
The gym has already pledged its support to Immingham Town Football Club, sponsoring the management team’s kit for the 2026/27 season, as well as having pitchside banners in the stadium.
