Police have charged a Brampton driver with running a red light and careless driving following a dump truck crash.
The OPP says the three-vehicle crash happened around 4:15 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of Trafalgar Road and Wellington Road 124 in Erin, some 40 kilometres northwest of Brampton.
Investigators say a dump truck was involved in the collision, along with a sports utility vehicle and a four-door sedan.
One driver sustained minor injuries in the crash, and police said on Tuesday that a 36-year-old driver from Brampton has been charged with multiple offences.
Police allege the driver failed to stop at a red light at the intersection, as indicated by the charges.
The OPP says the 36-year-old from Brampton has been charged with careless driving, red light – fail to stop, and fail to accurately complete daily inspection report.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Guelph on a later date. The name of the accused has not been released.
