Surrey senior citizen wins mortgage broker award, again

At age 80, Surrey mortgage broker Sharnjit Singh Gill keeps winning the awards.
Gill’s company, VERICO Superior Mortgage, is located in the Payal Business Centre in Newton and handles construction and commercial mortgages.
In 2023 Gill and his team won big-time, receiving the “Mortgage Broker of the Year” award for British Columbia.
This year, Gill was named one of Canadian Mortgage Professional’s top 75 brokers. There are more than 18,000 mortgage brokers in Canada.
He has been ranked among the top 75 since 2009.
Despite his age, Gill doesn’t expect to retire anytime soon.
“My doctor says Sharnjit – I can retire, you see – but my doctor says if you are busy your health will be better and everything will be better,” he explains.
