Police are investigating after a driver struck and killed a 23-year-old man following a dispute in a southeast Edmonton parking lot last week.
The collision happened May 28 after a “confrontation” between a pedestrian and a driver at Mill Woods Road and 28 Avenue, police said in a Tuesday afternoon news release.
Police said the victim approached a vehicle in a parking lot and was “inadvertently” struck when the motorist tried to drive away.

The victim was still alive when police arrived but was later pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified.
Edmonton police said its major collision investigations section continues to probe the case, and that speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors.
