A man in his 30s has been rushed to hospital with serious injures after he was found with gunshot wounds in Rexdale on Wednesday.

A shooting in Rexdale has left a man in his 30s seriously injured, Toronto police say.

Emergency crews responded to Humber College Boulevard and Westmore Drive, east of Highway 27, after a shooting call came in at 4:19 p.m.

When officers arrived, they located the victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

Toronto paramedics told CTV News that they transported the victim to a trauma centre with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries.

Police said the suspect was seen leaving the area in a dark-coloured vehicle.

No suspect description has been released.
