All elementary school students in Peel are getting an extra day off school.
Students in both the Peel District School Board and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board will be off this Monday, June 8, as teachers take part in a professional activity day.
Classes resume on Tuesday, June 9.
Professional Activity or PA days are held several times throughout the year for various reasons, including professional development sessions for teachers, as well as time to mark assignments and determine grades or to meet parents. Professional learning days are those set aside for educator skills development.
For the most part, both school systems have set aside the same days for professional activities.
