Suyo con Amigos returns
For the second installment of Suyo con Amigos, chef Ricardo Valverde welcomes chef Billy Nguyen of Rabbit Rabbit for a one-night-only collaborative dinner. Given Suyo’s reputation for contemporary Peruvian cuisine and Rabbit Rabbit’s inventive approach to dining, this promises to be one of the month’s most exciting reservations.

Sushi Bar Shu takes over The Lobby Lounge & RawBar
The Fairmont Pacific Rim continues its impressive series of chef collaborations with a special dinner featuring one of Vancouver’s most coveted sushi counters. Chef de Cuisine Youssef Jbari will host cdhef Hyunki Shin and the team from Sushi Bar Shu for a seven-course dinner showcasing meticulous Japanese technique, exceptional seafood and seasonal ingredients sourced from Japanese and local waters.

The Sutton Place Hotel celebrates 40 years
One of Vancouver’s grand dame hotels is celebrating a major milestone with a special anniversary brunch. The Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver is marking its 40th year with a three-course prix fixe experience featuring seasonal starters, brunch favourites like Eggs Benedict and Grilled Hanger Steak & Eggs, and a dessert buffet inspired by the legendary Chocoholic Buffet once served at Fleuri, formerly at the hotel. Executive pastry chef Kenta Takahashi’s reimagined finale includes house-made desserts, signature bonbons and a flowing chocolate fountain.

Expect forest-inspired décor, themed cocktails, and a menu celebrating B.C. ingredients through the lens of one of Canada’s most iconic artists.

New this year is the addition of Hype Chocolate’s Indigenous-owned Tu’i Hiapsek Treats Trailer serving bannock, handcrafted chocolates, ice cream, coffee and specialty drinks.
