Surrey firefighters make quick work of Whalley strip mall fire

Surrey Fire Service crews made quick work of a strip mall fire Wednesday afternoon.
Around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday (June 3), firefighters responded to a fire in a strip mall on 108 Avenue at City Parkway.
One unit suffered significant damage with possible smoke and water damage to neighbouring units, a freelance photographer at the scene said.
No injuries were reported and the fire is reportedly not considered suspicious.
