With the world’s largest soccer event arriving in Canada this month, cities across Ontario are gearing up for a massive summer of festivities. Best of all, they are free to attend.
From June 11 to July 19, the 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to take place, and will have six matches played in Toronto. And if you’re looking for where you can catch the action around the province, here’s a list of free World Cup viewing parties.
Toronto
The FIFA Fan Festival
When: June 11 to July 19
Where: Fort York National Historic Site & The Bentway, 250 Fort York Blvd.
The Details: The FIFA Fan Festival in Toronto is ready to take over Fort York National Historic Site & The Bentway for a giant multiday celebration. Expect live music, cultural showcases and community programming that celebrates the tournament’s global teams and Toronto’s diverse communities at the festival, according to the City of Toronto. Alessia Cara, Tyler Shaw, Walk off the Earth, French Montana, Ruby Waters, and more are expected to perform, and there will be lots of food and drink options from around the city.
Adidas Home of Soccer at Stackt Market
When: June 11 to July 19
Where: 28 Bathurst St.
The Details: North America’s largest shipping container market is transforming into a dedicated soccer spot. Fans can expect athlete appearances, interactive skill activations, an official Adidas retail pop-up, and daily watch parties. Matches will be broadcast live in the open-air courtyard on a massive 13.5-foot by 24-foot screen. Entry is completely free on a first-come, first-served basis. Organizers state that it will be an “unforgettable fan experience.”
Mississauga
Celebration Square Fan Zone
When: June 11 to July 19
Where: 300 City Centre Dr.
The Details: Just a short drive west of the host city, Mississauga’s premier civic square is set to broadcast 59 tournament matches over 23 distinct game days on its colossal digital screens. The free, open-air site will feature local food vendors and community spaces reflecting the city’s rich multiculturalism.
Canada Celebrates Tour: Canada Day Special
When: Wed., July 1
The Details: Celebration Square will also serve as a major official stop on the national Canada Celebrates FIFA World Cup 2026 tour, bringing specialized soccer-themed skill parks and interactive community games to the city’s Canada Day festivities.
Niagara FallsNiagara Parks Fan Zone
When: June 11 to July 19 (11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily)
Where: Queen Victoria Park, 6345 Niagara River Pkwy.
The Details: If you are looking to spend the soccer season by the falls, Niagara Parks is hosting a Fan Zone at Queen Victoria Park. For 38 days straight, the celebration will have two massive outdoor screens displaying the matches that can be watched from inside Boston Pizza Clifton Hill, Queen Victoria Place Restaurant, or Kelsey’s Clifton Hill.
According to the organizers, there will also be a variety of photo ops in the park, such as the themed horticultural installations at the Niagara Parks Power Station, Floral Showhouse, and Floral Clock, special Falls illuminations, and the 26 Countdown Clock at Table Rock Centre.
KitchenerKitchener Market Piazza
When: June 11 to July 19
Where: 300 King St. E.
The Details: The covered outdoor piazza at the historic Kitchener Market is transforming into a dedicated soccer destination. The free-admission site will broadcast more than 100 matches live on a 21-foot screen. Select high-profile game days will feature an on-site licensed bar, local food trucks, live music, and interactive trivia games.

The Details: On a large patch of green space, soccer fans are expected to gather here to kick off the season with a free, outdoor community celebration. For one day, the Ajax Fan Zone series will take over the town’s fairgrounds with family-friendly festivities. There will be a live soccer game on a huge screen, featuring Canada versus Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Festivalgoers can also expect a kids zone with inflatables, airbrush tattoos, as well as community activations. And there will be a lineup of local and international foods, including Funnel Cake Dream and Kabab Shoppe. Alongside the bites you can grab drinks from Falcon Brewery or Town Brewery.
WhitbyCivic Park & Whitby Soccer Dome
Where: 575 Rossland Road East & 695 Rossland Road
The Details: Whitby is launching a pair of outdoor public watch parties for the opening group stages. Organizers advise fans to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets, as all events are open-air and completely free to the public. All matches will be displayed with open captioning.

The Details: Pickering is hosting a series of community watch parties designed to unite Durham Region soccer fans in supporting the Men’s National Team. Attendees are encouraged to wear red and white team apparel, with free drinks, prize giveaways, and interactive minigames available on-site.

The Details: The heart of historic downtown Kingston is transforming into an interactive, open-air soccer village as part of the official cross-country Canada Celebrates tour. The free festival features a pop-up football pitch, live musical entertainment, and regional food and drink vendors.

The Details: On July 4, London will host a one-day, free fan activation as a part of the Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026 tour. The city’s Victoria park is expected to have a family-friendly day of match viewings, football-themed activities, food, music, cultural programming, and “shared moments of national pride,” according to the city.
