A car and a pickup truck were set on fire in Rivière-des-Prairies overnight Saturday to Sunday, according to Montreal police.
No one was injured and no damage to buildings was reported, but the two vehicles sustained major damage.
Several 911 calls were made around 12:35 a.m. Sunday about fires on Nicolas-Leblanc Ave. near Rita-Levi-Montalcini Ave.
On arriving, police found a sedan and a pickup truck engulfed in flames. After the fires had been extinguished by firefighters, the vehicles were towed. They will be analyzed as part of an investigation by the arson squad.
According to police, more than one suspect was seen approaching the vehicles, setting them on fire and fleeing.
