A serious motor vehicle collision is under investigation in Winnipeg’s west side, prompting road closures and traffic disruptions during the Sunday morning drive.
The Winnipeg Police Service says its Traffic Division is investigating a serious collision at the intersection of Portage Avenue and Century Street.
As a result, all northbound lanes of Century Street are closed between Academy Road and Portage Avenue.
Police are asking motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes while the investigation continues.
No information has been released regarding the number of vehicles involved or whether there are any injuries.
Drivers travelling through the area should expect delays and monitor Winnipeg Police Service updates for changes to traffic restrictions.
The closure remains in effect until further notice.
