Insiders recently told Closer Online UK that Affleck wants Lopez to move on with her life (especially with her love life).

“It’s no secret that Ben is trying to wash his hands of Jen. There’s a reason he gave her his half of their house. In his view, the faster she can find happiness with someone else, the better,” they said to the outlet. “And he genuinely does want to see her happy. He wouldn’t be encouraging this if he thought that Brett wasn’t a good choice. He doesn’t know him personally, but he has some friends who know Brett, and they’ve had nothing but good things to say. That’s enough for Ben to root for him because he knows Jen is happier when she has a partner.”

For those who don’t know, Lopez and Affleck met on the set of the film Gigli. They started dating soon after and got engaged by the end of 2002. However, they broke up by 2004 after canceling their wedding days earlier. Then, in 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony.

However, they then filed for divorce in 2024, and got officially divorced the following year.
