An Alberta lottery player has won a $15-million LOTTO MAX jackpot — and the winning ticket was sold outside Edmonton and Calgary.

The ticket matched all seven numbers in the Friday, June 5 draw: 11, 16, 27, 34, 40, 47 and 49.

According to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation, the jackpot is the second $15-million LOTTO MAX prize won in Alberta in less than two weeks.

The previous $15-million LOTTO MAX jackpot was won in the province on May 26.

The lottery corporation said the latest winning ticket was purchased somewhere in Alberta, but not in Edmonton or Calgary.

The winner, or winners, have one year from the draw date to claim the prize.

Anyone with a ticket for the June 5 LOTTO MAX draw is being asked to check their numbers.

The winner can start the claim process by contacting Player Care at 1-800-665-3313.

Tickets can also be checked through the Lotto Spot app.
