A 38-year-old man is in critical condition after he was hit by two vehicles in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough Monday afternoon.

According to Montreal Police the cyclist was hit around 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Davidson and Notre-Dame Streets. Police say the cyclist was struck by a first vehicle, and hit the ground. He was then struck by a second vehicle heading north on Davidson.

He was transported to hospital in critical condition.

The drivers involved in the collision were not injured.

Police set-up a perimeter Monday to conduct their investigation. Roads remained closed into the evening.
