ARTSY ROOMS: The forthcoming St. Regis London, formerly Westbury at the corner of Bond and Conduit Streets, is putting art and culture at the heart of its Mayfair debut this fall.
It enlisted Sarabande Foundation’s House of Bandits to curate the property’s entire art collection, assembling more than 1,000 works by more than 80 artists across rooms and public spaces.
Sarabande is the charitable foundation founded by the late Lee Alexander McQueen to nurture creative talent across a variety of creative fields, including art, craft, design and technology. The House of Bandits is an art and fashion retail concept first introduced in 2020 with help from Burberry. It now has a permanent space within Sarabande’s Tottenham branch in North London.
The reimagined luxury hotel sitting on top of the Burberry flagship will feature 193 rooms, including 66 suites, two wellness suites and one penthouse suite with panoramic views of the London skyline, as well as expanded public areas with interiors drawing inspiration from nearby Savile Row’s craftsmanship, Bond Street’s luxury energy and the Mayfair neighborhood’s gallery culture.
The Marriott-managed hotel will also debut Le Perroquet, a French brasserie by chef Daniel Rose, marking his first venture in the British capital following his Paris and New York outposts.
