Former LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese made history this week. The Atlanta Dream forward set a WNBA record as she became the first player to reach 957 rebounds through her first 75 games. In short, no WNBA player has ever racked up this many rebounds this early in their career.
Reese was a rebounding force for Kim Mulkey’s LSU program, leading the Tigers to a national championship in 2023. She’s continued to excel in that department at the professional level.

In 2026, Reese’s third year in the league, she’s averaging 12.2 rebounds per night through 11 games. With 13.6 points per game, she’s averaging a double-double. Reese made the all-star game in her first two seasons and is on pace to earn the honor again this year.
Reese is in her first year with the Dream after a blockbuster preseason trade. She spent the first two years of her career with the Chicago Sky.
