ORLANDO, Fla. — Pepperdine women’s golf had three Waves receive Golfweek All-American recognition, announced today.
Sophomore Eunseo Choi claimed Third Team All-American honors while senior Jeneath Wong and freshman Kylee Choi took home honorable mention laurels.
Pepperdine’s three selections to Golfweek’s list matches a program-best set in 2007, as Wong also earns her third career All-American nod from Golfweek. The same trio were named WGCA All-Americans earlier this month.
“I’m very proud of Eunseo, Jeneath and Kylee on a great season from start to finish,” said head coach Laurie Gibbs. “Having three All-Americans on the same team is a testament to the players’ hard work and dedication. Congratulations again to Jeneath on four outstanding seasons and graduating in three and a half years. The future is bright for the Waves with two talented additions joining a strong returning roster this fall. Go Waves!”
Eunseo Choi receives Third Team All-American recognition from Golfweek after landing on the WGCA All-American Second Team. Choi earned West Coast Conference (WCC) Player of the Year after claiming Medalist honors at the WCC Championship, as the Waves took home the team title as well. She also won the individual title at the Fresno State Classic, bringing her career collegiate victory count to three. Choi was consistent all season for the Waves, posting top-20 finishes in 10 of 11 tournaments, including seven top-10 showing. Choi had a 71.38 scoring average and was No. 18 in the final individual Differential rankings.
Jeneath Wong earns All-American Honorable Mention following a successful senior campaign to wrap her decorated career with the Waves. Wong had seven top-20 finishes throughout the season, as she placed third at both the Fresno State Classic and NCAA Stanford Regional. She led the Waves at the Regional while matching the program record for low round with a 63 on day two. An All-WCC selection, Wong finished with a career-best 72.21 scoring average and was ranked No. 41 in the final Differential Individual Rankings.
Kylee Choi claims All-American Honorable Mention after having one of the top collegiate seasons from a freshman this past year. She took home WCC Freshman of the Year and was named to the WGCA All-Freshman Team. Choi was consistently at the top of the leaderboards, finishing with six top-five finishes. She finished with a 71.79 scoring average and was the second-highest ranked freshman in the final Differential rankings, coming in at No. 33.
The trio helped lead the Waves to a T-5th finish at the NCAA Championship, as Pepperdine advanced into the match play quarterfinals. The Waves won three tournaments throughout the spring, including the program’s 22nd WCC Championship, while being runner-up at the Stanford NCAA Regional. The Waves were ranked No. 9 in the final Differential rankings.

Pepperdine women’s golf has consistently been one of the top collegiate programs in the country under head coach Laurie Gibbs, exemplified by the current streak of 27 straight seasons with an NCAA Regional appearance.
