Offence notices have been issued after Winnipeg police say two vehicles were caught racing at speeds exceeding 200 km/h on Chief Peguis Trail.
The incident happened on May 16 at around 12:54 a.m. Winnipeg police say Air 1 observed two vehicles travelling at excessive speeds and appearing to race along the busy thoroughfare.
Police say one of the vehicles was estimated to be travelling in excess of 200 km/h and captured on video.
Air1 tracks vehicles to residence
Air 1 followed both vehicles to a home where they parked. Ground units went to the location, and both vehicles and their registered owners were identified.
Offence notices for Racing and Careless Driving were issued to the registered owners. Responsibility for the offences will be determined through the court process.

Meanwhile, Winnipeg police say speed and aggressive driving are being considered factors in several collisions under investigation this spring.
