Quebec’s major party leaders will face off in a French-language televised debate on Sept. 16, Noovo and Crave announced Thursday.
The leaders of the Coalition Avenir Québec, Quebec Liberal Party, Québec solidaire, Parti Québécois and Conservative Party of Quebec have all agreed to participate, according to the broadcasters.
The debate will begin at 8 p.m. and will be moderated by Michel Bherer, host of Les débatteurs de Noovo.
It will be the first election debate presented by Noovo and Crave, both owned by Bell Media.
The Sept. 16 event is the first leaders’ debate announced for the campaign ahead of Quebec’s Oct. 5 general election.
