James Barnes is atop the leaderboard as the third round of the RBC Canadian Open gets underway on Saturday.
The RBC Canadian Open will head into the third of four rounds of PGA Tour golf on Saturday morning, with the CBS stream picking up at 3:00 p.m. ET. The tournament has taken place at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, a course designed by Doug Carrick, with a par-71, 6,810-yard layout in Ontario, Canada. The purse for the RBC Canadian Open totals $9.8 million, which will be split among those who make the cut. Heading into the third round, American James Barnes holds the lead at 10-under-par. Barnes opened up with a three-under par round, which was normal; however, he exploded onto the scene in Round 2 with a seven-under par score.

There are five golfers tied behind Barnes to round at the top six at nine-under-par, including Sam Burns, Jackson Suber, Hiotong Li, Jesper Svensson, and Keith Mitchell. Li and Mitchell had the best second rounds, finishing six-under-par over those 18 holes. After the second round, the cut happened at two-under-par and sent great golfers home early. Seamus Power, Matti Schmid, Garrick Higgo, Corey Connors, Justin Rose, Cam Davis, and Stephan Jaeger all were not able to get to the third round.
Golfers started their rounds early this morning, but this broadcast will open in the middle of the final golfers’ rounds. Calen Sanderson, Matthieu Pavon, and Joey Savoie opened the round this morning at 7:20 a.m. ET, followed by Denny McCarthy and Lanto Griffin. The leading groups, James, Burns, Li, and Suber, took the stage at 1:35 and 1:45 p.m. The winner will be crowned at the end of their rounds.
