Ottawa 67’s rookie Ryder Fetterolf has won the Canadian Hockey League’s Goaltender of the Year award for 2025-26.
The 18-year-old from the Pittsburgh area won 29 games this past season, stopping about 92 per cent of shots on average and giving up just over two goals per game. His six shutouts set a new team record and an Ontario Hockey League rookie record.
Fetterolf is the first 67’s goalie, the second rookie and the third American-born netminder to win this national award.
“He’s a committed athlete who constantly looks for ways to improve and embraces the work needed to become an elite goaltender,” said 67’s goalie coach Andrew Mercer in a news release.
Fetterolf has committed to play college hockey for Penn State. He’s ranked 11th among goalies from North America for the NHL draft on June 26-27.
