Law enforcement has arrested an Edmonton high school teacher facing child pornography charges, after he spent nearly a year abroad. Jimmy Buena was arrested in April at the Edmonton International Airport and has since been released from custody. The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team issued a warrant for him in June 2025, when he worked as a teacher at St. Oscar Romero Catholic High School in west Edmonton. Buena is set to appear in court on Thursday.
