Anthony Gordon, the “Flash”, Has More Than Just Quick Feet

Recently seen in viral clips, well-disciplined, quick, and aggressive soccer player Anthony Gordon was demonstrating some of his boxing skills. Though only recently gaining popularity, the video was filmed some time ago, and rumors have it that this is just a small sample of what he can truly do. This display of talent is only one of the many unique interests Gordon has; he is also an avid fan of tennis, hunting, and horseback riding, even to the point where he was prohibited by contract from participating in certain activities to avoid injury.
Though known for his incredible speed, his tendency to not back down from a fight on the field and his intense temperament are very evident. This is in part due to growing up in Liverpool, England, where he and many others used boxing in their youth as a way to channel aggression and energy. It was in the ring where his competitive drive was born, and today, alongside his friend Paul Stevenson, he has been seen training at the famous Everton Red Triangle gym, continuing to sharpen those skills.
This year, he will be part of England’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, playing as a left winger or striker. This will not be his first time under pressure, as he currently starts for Barcelona and is one of their top performers. He signed with the team for a massive fee of 80 million euros and has continued to prove his value ever since. With his combination of pace, aggression, and a fighter’s mentality, Gordon brings a unique edge to the game that sets him apart.
We look forward to maybe getting the chance to see more of his boxing ability, whether through training clips or future glimpses into that side of his game. Regardless, it is clear that Gordon’s background in boxing has played a major role in shaping the intensity and edge he brings to the soccer field.
