A Winnipeg Transit driver is facing charges after he allegedly drove a city bus while impaired.
Police were told the man had returned to the Osborne Street bus depot about 7 p.m. Monday, where he was questioned by other staff and believed to be impaired by alcohol.
Officers arrested the 28-year-old, who was released on a notice to appear in court, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a Tuesday news release.
He is facing charges of driving while impaired, and failing or refusing to comply with a demand.
Police confirmed the charges relate to driving a city bus, not a personal vehicle.
CBC has asked the City of Winnipeg for comment.
