Robba da Matti’s two other locations remain open.

Local chain Robba da Matti has gone from three to two.

The Yaletown branch of the family-run Italian restaurant has shut down suddenly, with no announcement online or on-site. Robba da Matti is known for its fresh pastas and cosy spaces.

The location at 1127 Mainland St. in the heart of Yaletown was the original location. It was so original it predated the name Robba da Matti. It was first called Yaletown L’Antipasto when it was founded in 2011.

The name Robba da Matti and a second location came in 2019. Eventually, locations in Kitsilano and Gastown followed. But the Kitsilano location has also closed.

While the company’s website is not working at the time of publication, I confirmed with the ownership that the West End and Gastown locations remain active.
