A person has been hospitalized after they were struck by an STO bus in Gatineau on Tuesday evening, according to Gatineau police.

Officers responded to reports of a person being hit by a bus near the intersection of Alexandre-Taché Boulevard and Hadley Street, investigators said in a French news release Tuesday evening.

The person was taken to hospital, with the extent of their injuries currently unknown.

Gatineau police say four officers were deployed to the scene to manage traffic at about 8 p.m.
