Nobody seemed to know where they came from, but there they were in the Forest: Kanga and Baby Roo. When Pooh asked Christopher Robin, “How did they come here?” Christopher Robin said, “In the Usual Way, if you know what I mean, Pooh,” and Pooh, who didn’t, said “Oh!” Then he nodded his head twice and said, “In the Usual Way. Ah!”

The kangaroo — some say wallaby — who had caused a stir on Montreal’s South Shore after escaping a stable where it is alleged to have been kept illegally, has safely arrived at Granby Zoo after a “delicate operation.”

The animal is in good health, according to Quebec’s ministry in charge of wildlife, and will spend their first full day at the zoo under partly cloudy skies with a 30-per-cent chance of showers.

In similar upbeat news, the City of Westmount has begun refilling the pond at Westmount Park after concerns were raised about a family of ducklings living there.

The high on Montreal Island Wednesday will be 24 C with a humidex of 27 C and a UV index 7, or high. There is the risk of a thunderstorm in the early evening and an overnight low of 17 C.

So Kanga and Roo stayed in the Forest. And every Tuesday Roo spent the day with his great friend Rabbit, and every Tuesday Kanga spent the day with her great friend Pooh, teaching him to jump, and every Tuesday Piglet spent the day with his great friend Christopher Robin. So they were all happy again.
