A former Swift Current Broncos goaltender will continue his professional career with his hometown NHL organization.
Isaac Poulter signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday. The deal carries a value of $855,000 at the NHL level.
The 24-year-old spent the 2025-26 season splitting time between the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League and the Norfolk Admirals of the East Coast Hockey League.
Poulter appeared in three games with the Moose, posting a 2-0 record, a 2.83 goals-against average and an .885 save percentage. He also played 43 games with Norfolk, compiling a 25-17-1 record, a 2.76 goals-against average, a .905 save percentage and two shutouts.
Four seasons in Swift Current helped launch pro career
Since graduating from the Broncos in 2022, Poulter has appeared in 151 professional regular-season games.
He owns a 42-24-11 record with a 2.88 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage in 80 AHL contests, while adding a 40-25-3 record, a 2.78 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage in 71 ECHL games.
Poulter was also recalled by the New Jersey Devils during both the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons, serving as a backup goaltender.
The Winnipeg product spent four seasons with the Broncos, appearing in 137 regular-season games. He finished his WHL career with a 35-87-12 record, a 3.76 goals-against average and a .898 save percentage.
His best season came in 2021-22 when he was named to the WHL Central Division Second All-Star Team after posting a 20-23-6 record, a 3.00 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.
