City beaches and outdoor pools are fully open for the season this Saturday, June 20, while wading pools open a few days later on Monday, June 22.
According to a release, Ottawa beaches will open with supervised swimming at city beaches, Mooney’s Bay, Britannia, Westboro an Petrie Island. Lifeguards will be on site from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. until August 30. Lifejackets as well as accessible wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The release also said that while most outdoor pools have opened for the season, the remainder will open as of June 20. Each pool has different operating hours, which can be found here.

Wading pools are scheduled for a staggered opening schedule beginning Monday, June 22. Some pools are open on a limited schedule for weekends only.

The city encourages everyone to clean up after themselves and use garbage bins to keep areas clean.
