A 36-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of an Edmonton man last week.
In a news release Wednesday, Edmonton police said an autopsy has confirmed that Michael Joseph Conway, 32, died of a stab wound and the manner of his death was homicide.
Conway was fatally injured on the morning of June 10 in northeast Edmonton.
Police were in the area of 118th Avenue and 47th Street around 6 a.m. when they saw Conway, who was suffering from serious injuries, emerge from a home, followed by a woman.
Conway was taken to hospital where he later died.
Alexandra Bachinsky, who was arrested at the scene, has since been charged in Conway’s death and is due in Edmonton provincial court on July 14.
Conway and the accused were known to one another, police said.
