A man died of suspicious conditions in a park on a popular strip in Calgary’s Beltline on Saturday, according to police.
Officers were called to Tompkins Park on 17 Avenue SW at around 5 p.m. on calls of assault.
When they arrived, a man was found in medical distress — dying on the scene despite life-saving efforts, police say.
One person was arrested. Police say an investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, an autopsy is expected on June 22.
