A man is in custody after allegedly firing a gun at a police officer in Mississauga on Sunday morning.
Peel Regional Police say officers were carrying out an investigation in the area of Torbram Road and Lucknow Drive when a male pulled out a firearm and shot at an officer.
The officer was not struck and did not suffer any injuries.
The suspect was then arrested and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
After being cleared by hospital staff, the suspect was taken into police custody.
Police said the incident does not fall under the mandate of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU).
